About Mail Services
The mission of FASS Mail Services is to assist with campus mailing needs. Services include pick-up and delivery of interdepartmental, USPS, and state shuttle mail, shipping of international and domestic FedEx, UPS, and USPS parcels, daily metering of USPS outgoing mail, and management of the University’s zip+4 mailing addresses.
We are here to help you with:
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail/packages delivered by USPS
- Daily pick up and delivery of mail and packages up to 50 lbs for processing at Mail Services
- Pick up pre-stamped/pre-labeled UO business mail & packages for USPS, UPS & FedEx Express

- Daily metering of outgoing first-class domestic & international mail
- Domestic and International shipment processing using USPS, FedEx, UPS & DHL services
- Dry Ice Shipments
- Management of the University's zip + 4 mailing addresses
- Management of mailbox assignment at select locations
- Supply USPS mail trays and tubs for large mailings in preparation for pickup
- Custom barcoded mail request forms specific to your department's index/activity code
- Quick, efficient, and accurate shipping of packages with large address lists (bulk shipping)
- Service changes for departments that have moved to a new location
- Accommodations for department closures, temporary/permanent relocations, and requests for hold of mail
- Same-day shipping of packages received by 2:00 p.m.

Mail Services offers select carrier supplies at no charge. If you need more than what is in stock, please allow sufficient lead time to order more.

Mailing Tips
Packages must come to Mail Services Shipment Ready - packed, sealed, addressed, and accompanied by a completed mail order form.
All prior shipping labels must be completely covered. Dangerous goods labels or markings must be covered up in its entirety; crossing out with pen/marker is not permitted.

Redirecting Delivery to Off-Campus Address
When shipping to off-campus addresses, be sure to document the business purpose and reason for shipping to the off-campus site, and keep that documentation with your purchase record. When using a P-Card to purchase UO business-related items attach off-campus delivery documentation to the appropriate expense line in Concur in order to have them delivered to a UO employee home address, you must. Note: Duck Depot can deliver only to valid UO campus addresses (loaded as selectable options). Contact Purchasing and Contracting Services (PCS) if you have questions about this section.
Missing Packages
If you were expecting a package to arrive and have not seen it, it is best to first check with staff who sort and distribute mail within your department/building. If not found, please contact Mail Services with the following information:
